That’s right, that wasn’t a typo, Perez Hilton gets around 260 Million views per month! On the radio they said he’s still #1 for making the most money as an internet entrepreneur in 2009. Perez blogs about gossip on musicians, actors, and celebrities. You might not care for what he does or who he is, but he obviously knows what he’s doing.
His blog is PerezHilton.com and here are 8 things you can pick up from Perez’s experience from Marko’s post, 8 things every blogger can learn by studying Perez Hilton. Here’s an excerpt of my favorite tip from the post:
“Be consistent. Post on a regular blogging schedule. Perez Hilton posts new articles to his blog an average of 40 times a day. He constantly checks his e-mail and scours the web for the latest gossip.”
Ok, 40 posts a day is a bit much but for Perez’s line of work, you really have to be the first to publish photos, news, and gossip before everyone else. The most important thing you can get from Perez is that he really did what he liked doing and built his empire that way from the ground up.
