Aweber – The Rock Star of Email Service Providers

by Jack Nguyen · 0 comments

in Blogging, The Web

As you’re building traffic on your blog, don’t wait long to build a newsletter opt-in form.  Creating a newsletter is a great way to connect and engage your readers back to your blog.  Many people stress about creating new content for the newsletter because their hands are full writing posts.  With Aweber, you can set a blog newsletter to automatically send out to your readers when you have a certain amount of new posts as an RSS, and of course you can always add new content as well to a traditional newsletter form as well.

Remember, it’s important to start with an email service provider.  Reason why it’s crucial to choose the right email service provider in the beginning is because you’ll have to re-opt-in your current subscribers from your old provider (thank CAN-SPAM for that).

For Example:

You’re with email provider A and you have a mailing list of 25K subscribers.  You decide to switch to email provider B.  Well email provider B will NOT allow you to transfer your list of 25K subscribers over unless they are opted in again.  You see where this can hurt your mailing list?

I’ve been researching a lot of e-mail providers and Aweber seems to be the most recurring mention.  After trying out Aweber for a few days, I now see why it’s been given so much praise.  Here are some things you can do with Aweber:

  • Send engaging newsletters to your subscribers
  • Publish a customizable sign up form
  • Build relationships with autoresponders
  • Manage unlimited campaigns under one account
  • Send blog newsletters (RSS to email)

Aweber is not a free service, but it’s a valuable resource for any serious blogger.  If you think you can’t afford the measly $19 a month, then you really shouldn’t be reading this post in the first place.  Just imagine how valuable you’re mailing list will be in the long run.  If you’re serious about internet marketing, spend the money for your email strategy early.  The longer you have a sign up form, the bigger you list will be in the long run.

Aweber is currently having a promotion for new users, $1 for the first month.  Sign up now!
