So I was on Darren Rowse’s site and came across this post, Stick Out Your Finger (Not That One!) and Create a Meaningful Blogging Experience. Yeah I know… it was a guest post, but Big D wouldn’t approve content that’s not worth mentioning on his blog. The guest blogger was Jenny McCoy and she basically wrote how she was able to write a guest post on Problogger.
Now you probably would think that she would talk about incoming links, commenting on other blogs, etc. Jenny didn’t care about all that. In the beginning all Jenny cared about was:
- Writing
- Her 6 friends
All she cared about was writing about her thoughts and ideas to her 6 friends that were willing to read it. Later down the road she was able to land a few guest post spots on other blogs until things started picking up. She really wasn’t an expert in online marketing or social media, but she had passion in what she was doing. Have bad grammar? Blog about it. You can blog about everything and anything you want, have fun with it.
Look, what I’m really trying to say here is that people in the blogosphere should have more fun and enjoy the ride. Many bloggers consider blogging as a chore and it starts to show on their blog. So relax, take a deep breath, and have fun blogging.

Hah, talk about an attractive title. This was hardly what i thought it was going to be. I do agree though and to add to what you’ve said, sometimes a good break is in order, just to come back refreshed. Maybe take the day or the weekend off and do something that makes you happy.
