I currently live in California and have been a Lakers Fan all my life…..and will always be one!
No matter which team you support in the NBA, it’s safe to say that no one will EVER replace the legacy that Michael Jordan left behind.
Many players like Kobe Bryant and Lebron James have been compared to MJ, but no one will ever replace him.
Michael Jordan was the best player that played the game of basketball and is responsible for inspiring many young players who looked up to him growing up.
We bought his shoes, we bought his trading cards, we bought the idea that he was the BEST in what he did, because he proved to us time after time that he was indeed…the best.
What Does It Take To Become The Michael Jordan Of Blogging?
So what exactly does being the “Michael Jordan of Blogging” mean?
It means being the best by doing all you can to succeed in blogging. But what does it take to be the best? The answer is to FAIL!
Yup, that’s right. Failing plays a huge role in succeeding because you learn from your mistakes and adjust in the future to prevent those events from ever happening again. Whatever obstacles you face in life, you need to rise to the occasion!
Here’s a motivational video of a Nike commercial where MJ speaks about failure and success:

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
~ Michael Jordan
What’s Your Take?
Many people are afraid to take the first step to build a blog because they fear of failure. When you get yourself in the right mindset that failure is part of blogging, you’ll begin to understand that it’s really not a negative thing at all.
What have you failed at that made you a better blogger today? Would love to read your thoughts in the comment section below.

I do have to say, I’ve learned a lot from my mistakes. A lot of my coding experience comes from correcting mistakes I made, haha.

Totally agree with you Victoria. I don’t claim to be an expert blogger, I just took action and started posting content on niches that I’m familiar with.

They say that the only true failure is the person who gives up. Failure is a teacher, but you have to be prepared to take on the lesson and eliminate the cause of failure.
It’s also good to think about making everything you do ‘the best possible shot”.

Hi Mae – You’re absolutely right! Thanks for commenting!
I prefer to be the Lionel Messi of blogging rather than Michael Jordan. Great post.

Haha…to each their own.
I agree, failing plays a huge role in succeeding, but what happens when you don’t learn from your first mistakes? You repeat the experience, you know it is bad for you, but you end up doing it again. What can it be done in this situation?
