Blogs Rewarding Their Commentators
The Top Commentators plugin is a way to increase comments on your blog because it highlights the top users with the most comments on the homepage, which in turn will give them a backlink, etc. You should definitely add this plugin on your blog if you haven’t done so already. But what happens when you want to find other blogs using this plugin so that you can benefit from leaving comments on their blog (quality comments of course!)?
Finding Blogs Using the Top Commentators Plugin
Here are two serach command functions to find not only WordPress blogs but Blogspot blogs as well using Top Commentators. First go over to Google and type the following:
- For WordPress Blogs: In the search bar of Google, type in the following:
allintext: “Top Commentators” “Powered by WordPress “, hit search. - For Blogspot Blogs: In the search bar of Google, type in the following:
allintext: “Top Commentators” site:*.blogspot.com, hit search.
Each results page will show you all the blogs containing the top commentators plugin or something similar. Start commenting on blogs with decent page rank and that’s it!

That is really handy Jack because especially if they have their top commentators as do follow you can get hundreds of backlinks if you make their list!

I just used the search phrase “Top Commenters”+”yourname@yourkeywords” for the first time, and found this article. I though of using the keywordluv fingerprint because many sites using this plugin have nofollow disabled.

Great tips. I just found this site on the 4th page of Google using the search phrase: “top commentators”. Annoyingly, some of the sites I’ve seen so far only mention the plugin but don’t actually use it.

This is a great plugin for blogs to feature. It gives readers an incentive for commenting more often so that they readers back get a backlink on the bloggers main page while the blogger gets increased relevant comments. A true win-win on both sides of the coin.

Great info as this was the info I was waiting for. If I may ask, is it possible to find specific sites (ie : dog training sites) with the top commentary plugin? What do I have to type in the search engine?

Hi John – A reader of mine, Sunil mentioned this command string to find niche related blogs:
“top commentators” + niche + wordpress
This should give you some results, but you can play around with the search terms a bit. For example instead of wordress use “powered by wordpress”, etc.

How’s it going the easiest way to do this imo is to go to blogsearch.google.com and enter “cats blogspot” in the search field. Hope this helps.
