How to Tweet Your Stumbled Link and Promote It Easily!

in The Web

As I look through my stats, I noticed that a lot of readers get referred to my site by StumbleUpon.  So I starting thinking to myself, how much more referred traffic would I get if I tweet my blog post with a Stumble bar above my site?  By sending a tweet of my blog post with the Stumble toolbar at the top, it makes it more convenient for people to stumble it.  Here’s how it works:

  1. Create Account: You don’t need an account to share your stumbled link via Twitter, but you need to create an account in order to Stumble your posts as well as other sites.
  2. Get The Toolbar: Once you have created your account, download the Toolbar (For Firefox).  Here’s what it looks like:

All you need to do to share a site or blog is click on the share button in the toolbar and a drop down menu will give you an option to share via Twitter.  Once you click on Twitter, you will be redirected to Twitter with a custom url.  That custom url, if clicked, will redirect readers to the site with this Stumble bar at the top:

This strategy makes it easy and convenient for people to Stumble your blog post or site again for you!  But let’s take it a step further and use Click to Tweet so that we can send a link to the people in your mailing lists, like this:

That is great Jack! StumbleUpon doesn’t even a rate a mention in my blog stats. I do stumble from time to time, but not regularly. Do you stumble your own posts?

I usually don’t. I give them the option of Stumbling it for me with this convenient way of converting them, or kindly ask them. Lol :)

My main problem with Stumbling is that I need to organize it more to be related to what I am blogging about!

Most of people who follow my stumbles are in different niches, and they probably will not like my Stumbles and will not find it useful for them!

So.. yeah! I need to do some work on that ;)

Yeah, that’s why I kind of like Stumbling my links first, so that they are in the correct category tags.

I agree, Stumbling ones keyword based links allows them to get into the correct category and allows others to more easily find them. I practice this myself and have for quite some time. Very useful tip for others.

That’s right Brian. That’s the exact reason why I sometimes stumble my link first.

I use Stumble but my visits from there are not very good. Maybe the toolbar will help me like you advise.
