Making Money Blogging – What They Don’t Tell You

What Successful Bloggers Don’t Teach You

It’s a sad reality that many bloggers fail because they expect to see results fast and they set unreachable goals for themselves.  It’s not hard to see why the failure rate is so high because there are so many “turn-key solutions” out there that promises you the world and then some.  Who wouln’t want to make a full-time income by working only 2 hours a day?

There are many bloggers out there that make a boat load of money, and they make more money by showing people how to make money.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with advertisement and if you see a blogger like this, then that person knows what he or she is doing.

Sharing this post is beneficial for all those that are frustrated because they don’t see results yet they are doing the same tactics and strategies as someone that is successful.  I found a great post for you guys called What Problogger’s don’t teach you about making money blogging by Rob.  Here’s a quote from the post that I liked the most:

Money doesn’t come over night

Serious income does not come over night, it doesn’t come over a week either. It takes months and months of hard work, and depending on how much work you put into what you’re doing and if you made the right decisions you will profit from it in the long run. I’ve been in both worlds. I’ve worked online and I’ve worked offline. I tried almost every technique that involved bringing in serious income over night, but what it resulted in was me losing income.

When you first enter blogging and wanting to make money from blogging, think of yourself as a baby. Your first 9 months you’re doing nothing but being held by others, and you finally learn to crawl. By age 1 or 2 you’re walking and by age 3-4 you’re talking away. Making money from blogging is no different. You’re going to have to learn that making money blogging is not a overnight process, it takes time. Most bloggers who make six-figures or more from blogging have worked at it for 5+ years.

I would also like to add to this post is that you really need to be consistent about posting every and keeping up with it.  Adding new content to your blog brings brings traffic and increased subscriptions to your rss feed, etc.

I just recently started my blog as well and right now I’m just focusing on adding content to my blog. Last time I checked I was getting 50 visits a day, but I haven’t really focused on marketing the blog yet until I have a 100 solid posts for my readers. Hope this helps.

Jack
