Tonight I decided to finish up my Christmas shopping at the mall and noticed how cheap suits were at the department stores right now. I walked through Macy’s and tried on a few blazers for fun. As I was trying them on and looking at myself in the mirror, I immediately felt professional and successful. I read somewhere that the clothes you have in your closet can and will affect your work ethics (dress for success). In a way I believe it does effect your work ethics, because I know a lot of people that can’t work at home. They feel more productive when they actually dress up and go to work.
Since I loved the suit so much and it was on sale for like $240 (including pants!), I am now a proud owner of a grey Tommy Hilfiger pin-striped suit! So Fellas, go get yourself a suit and clean yourself up for New Year’s this year!

Thanks Harry! Merry Christmas to you too!
Dressing for success can help but ultimately I don’t think it makes your more or less successful either way. You are going to be judged by what you accomplish, not how good you look.

There’s been a correlation with your clothing and success. The more you dress like a professional, the more professional you’ll feel.
It’s not the tell all sign of success, but it does make a difference. There’s no substitute for hard work, but it gets you in the right mindset.
