Getting That Competitive Edge
With so many competitors online, getting an edge is always an advantage for new bloggers, site owners, etc. I found this great article 5 Top Ways to Get a Mental Edge in Business from AffiliateTips.com that you should check out. The post draws similarity between business and sports and outlines what it takes to get an edge over the competition. My favorite tip is to believe in yourself for a mental edge. You realize that you have a lot to learn, but you have to understand that you also have a lot to give to the online community.
An Edge For All Forms of Business
Affiliate marketing is not about who knows the most about the product or information they’re selling, it’s all about how you market the sales page. Although the tips were written for affiliate marketing, it really works for any business venture you’re in. Here’s an excerpt from the post I liked the most that referenced the sports analogy I mentioned earlier:
“So how can you maximize your mental edge with employees and competitors? The worst thing for an affiliate business owner, whether just starting out or well established, is self-doubt. It’s important to realize that some amount of failure is going to occur.
Let’s look at the baseball analogy again. A hitter in baseball is successful if he gets a hit only 30 percent of the time. That means he’s not getting a hit 70 percent of the time.
As an “affiliate entrepreneur”, you want to reach better odds than that, but the same idea applies. If you are prepared for some hardship, it will be much easier to take when things do not go your way. Here are the top five ways to give yourself a mental edge in business:”

Nice article……I was searching these kind of information ,Thank you so much…..
However, some disadvantages include high commission costs incurred by merchants sometimes. There have also been accounts of false and misleading types of advertising that has lead to unjust claims and also complaints from people. Merchants have been known to close down programs without informing the affiliates and not paying commission. Nice post by the way.

I really don’t see that as a disadvantage Gina. There will always be commission rate with these affiliate networks, and the bigger you get, the more you can negotiate these rates with them
Also, they’ve been cracking down on approving many publishers and merchants in their network. As long as you stick to the larger affiliate networks, this shouldn’t be an issue for you.

This article is pretty much spot on to my current train of thought. I have already accepted i’ll already fail, multiple times probably….. but as long as i know that, then i can push forward and not let it get to me.
