Nook vs Kindle
There is much talk online about which ebook reader is better: the Barnes and Noble’s Nook or Amazon’s Kindle. Although much of the reviews have slightly leaned toward the Kindle, there are reasons why I’d rather have a Nook instead. Hear me out..
First off, we all need to take a step back and remember what these things were built for, to read books. Although both devices have WIFI capability to buy books straight to their handheld, the Nook does not have an internet browser. Hey guess what? Who cares!! It’s an EBOOK READER folks so if you want something with internet then get a netbook . Yes, it’s a nice feature to have but if it’s a feature to make you decide over two ebook readers, then you’re choosing a device for the wrong reasons.
Even though the Kindle lasts 4 extra days before recharge, the Nook allows you to replace the battery without having to send in the whole device for maintenance. Also, the memory is expandable in the Nook which is great for loading MP3 format audio books and music. The last time I went to Barnes and Noble, it was a bookstore. Hmmm.. something tells me owning an ebook reader from a business selling nothing but books is a no brainer. People need to stop rating gadgets based on a hybrid of features it carries.
You will have your hardcore Kindlers out there but as a biased consumer looking for an ebook reader, it’s all about the Nookie!
